What I Think:
This book wasn't horrible, it was actually pretty good & I enjoyed it, but a few things altered would have gave it a higher rating for me.
Dislikes:
1) If it was told in Po's POV. The narrator was omnipresent, which I don't mind. But that's kinda okay for crime books or mystery books. Not this one lol.2) If Giddon had made a brief reappearance later on. You can't introduce us to Giddon's outburst & not bring him back up later on 😩 Idk, some type of love triangle quarrel would have been amusing lol.
3) The whole ship ordeal lasted a little too long for my taste. It kinda just bored me. Like can we fast forward this a little?
Overall if was action packed & this wasn't a relationship that was cliche & annoying. I actually admire Po & Katsa. They're relationship goals

I loved the whole journey through Grella's pass with Katsa & Bitterblue. Yes, we love when Katsa & Po are together! But I also loved how Cashore showed them functioning & still making rational decisions without each other. If it's one thing I can't stand, it's couples who ALWAYS have to be together..
I also really liked Bitterblue's traits. To be a little girl who just lost her mother & spent who knows how long in the blistering cold, she shows some spunk! She's not some whiny, helpless cry baby, She does whatever she can to help Katsa & Po! Getting firewood, drying clothes, wrapping wounds, & cooking!
This book definitely had some good scenes!

Hey there! I just found your cute little blog. :D Graceling is one of my favorite Fantasy books! I actually really liked reading from Katsa's point of view but I would've also loved to know what Po was thinking.
ReplyDeleteI agree on Bitterblue! She is so cute in this book! And wise beyond her years. Have you read the book Bitterblue?
