Bitterblue by Kristen Cashore

     ⭐️⭐️⭐️

What I Think:
I only gave this a 3 star because of the inconsistency. My feelings toward it were capricious. I couldn't make up my mind. During some parts I was really enjoying it & couldn't put it down, but then other parts were just like "okay this is totally dry & boring, something needs to happen." This dilemma made me take a whopping 3 weeks to finish this book. Lol I seriously did not pick it up for 2 days straight once. I should have just persevered, because towards the end it turned out really well.

Likes:
I liked the whole concept of conspiracy in the castle. It's a different perspective of the royal life.
Likes: Bitterblue's character. She was awesome! Kristin makes some kick butt female protagonists!!!
I also liked the love interest. Not sappy or cliché. A hint of a triangle, but Kristin left it undeveloped. Good call 👍🏽

Dislikes:
The inconsistency duh.
The long breaks in the book where Bitterblue is doing nothing but fretting. Saf staying mad for too long. I also really disliked the fact that I didn't get to hear more from Giddon. I loved his character & thought he deserved more scenes in the book. Last thing I didn't like was that Katsa & Po's relationship had no growth or progress lol.
