Me, the Missing, and the Dead by Jenny Valentine

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

   Synopsis:
Sixteen year-old Lucas Swain lives in London with his mother, older sister, & younger brother. He was fairly normal until the night he found Violet. Then everything changed. His father, missing for years, was a mystery he could never solve; but Lucas seems to think Violet can help him.

What I Think:
Originally this book almost got 3.5 stars. There are a few reasons as to why this book did not get 5 stars, but that extra star & a half could have easily been attained.

Dislikes:
I believe that the characters could have been more developed. The book seemed to have a few pages of irrelevant scenes that could have been used to provide much more interesting information about the characters. For instance Lucas' older sister. Lucas mentions a few factors about her that I'm sure readers would have supported the expansion of. Maybe make a sequel to go more in depth? Idk 🤗 The fact that Valentine didn't do this was tolerable because of the length of the book. If the book had been longer, & we STILL didn't get to know more about the characters , it would have been unbearable. Also knowing more about Violet would have been awesome. Okay enough. Sorry, I like details you guys!

I loved the main character...
Towards the end I had a change of heart & decided to change my rating! The ending was super clever, & completely carried the shortcomings of the story.
