Synopsis
In the tiny coastal town of Liberty, Oregon, something strange is going on. After an encounter with a whale knocks Cara into the freezing water, cute newcomer David is there to save her and the rescue leads to a bond deeper than Cara ever imagined. But then she learns something about David that changes everything. Turning to her best friend, Rachel. for support, Cara comes to the realization that her best friend has changed. Rachel is practicing witchcraft and has become dangerously obsessed with her boyfriend.
Well
I liked the flow of the story. It wasn’t choppy or hard to follow. The writing style was simple to understand yet captivating. The transitions between chapters were good and there were no curse words which I think is a cool interesting fact.
Dislikes
Oh dear, the climax and the decrescendo were totally predictable. Sometimes I felt as thought there were too many elements in the story and none of them quite matched well. The wrap up happened too quickly and there were parts I felt were rushed.
Overall
It was a quick light read and I would recommend it to anyone who likes paranormal reads.
