What I Think
This book wasn’t at all what I expected. The simplicity yet wonder of it. I enjoyed every bit of this story. I fell in love with the whole setting, and the characters on the island. Moskowitz didn’t have to go into detail with the side characters in order for me to find the so interesting. She gave sufficient information, yet left room for speculation. The friendship between the two main characters was of course my favorite part, being the main plot of the story.
Without giving away any spoilers, I found the sub plots in the story relative and also interesting. Moskowitz made everything connect in such a beautiful non forced way.
Her style of writing was easy to understand but it wasn’t juvenile. Has a TON of cursing, so I don’t recommend this book if profanity is a problem for you.
This was a really great read and I’m kinda upset that it didn’t have a higher rating on goodreads, cause this book totally deserves it. It’s magical, beautifully heartbreaking, and suspenseful.
