⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ryan Dean West became my favorite character of the year after reading Winger. (the prequel to Stand Off) Underestimated by his school mates, & even himself, Ryan Dean finds out who he really his when faced with adversity. In Stand Off, he struggles with doing the right thing, & confronting his issues. But with the help of some other great characters in the book, he realizes that he cannot let the misfortunes of his past, effect his morals as a person.
Sam Abernathy, a 12 year-old freshman, is the reason we get to see Ryan Dean at his best, & at his worst. Abernathy came pretty close to taking Ryan Dean's Favorite Character of the Year Award.
This novel is filled with a little more raw emotion, but just enough laughs to balance it all out. Without a doubt, this last year will be Ryan Dean's most memorable year at Pine Mountain.
You won't be able to put this book down.
I give it an easy
